Viny embarked on a flavorful journey through the culinary world, blending his experiences from Brazil with newfound opportunities in the United States.

Before venturing to the US, Chef Viny proudly owned and operated a charming pizza place back in Brazil. It was more than just a business to him; it was a labor of love where he honed his skills in crafting delicious pies and fostering a welcoming atmosphere for guests. However, his hunger for culinary exploration led him to the land of opportunity, where he seized the chance to further develop his talents.

Upon arriving in the US, Viny eagerly immersed himself in various culinary environments, working alongside talented chefs who broadened his culinary horizons. This invaluable experience allowed him to refine his techniques and expand his repertoire, ultimately shaping his culinary identity.

As a proud member of The Poynt Restaurant team, Chef Viny is always thrilled to bring a fusion cuisine style to the table. Drawing inspiration from his Brazilian roots and the diverse culinary landscape of the US, he aims to infuse the menu with a vibrant blend of flavors and influences. Q: How did you begin your culinary journey at The Poynt?
A: In 2017 - it started with a simple introduction from a friend and led me to the heart of the kitchen as a Chef.

Q: If your culinary journey were a dish, what would be its key ingredients, and what flavors would it embody?
A: Creativity with dedication sprinkled throughout the dish.

Q: What's the most memorable meal you've ever had, and how did it influence your approach to cooking?
A: Churrasco in Brazil. The Churrasco is more than just a meal, it is a communal gathering filled with laughter, music, and camaraderie.

Q: If you were stranded on a deserted island with only a few ingredients to cook with, what would they be, and what dish would you create?
A: Fresh fish fillets & root vegetables

Q: How do you navigate the balance between tradition and innovation in your culinary creations?
A: I approach innovation with a purpose, seeking to enhance traditional dishes with creative twists while maintaining their integrity.

A: Erick Jacquin / Guy Savoy.

Q: Beyond the kitchen, what inspires your creativity?
A: Playing guitar and my family.

Q: Can you share a particularly memorable experience or lesson you've learned while working at The Poynt?
A: Make sure your team is in love with what they are doing!

Q: If you had to pick one thing that sets The Poynt apart from other restaurants, what would it be and why?
A: The open kitchen concept fusion culinary, constant presence of smiling faces among the kitchen staff!
